is ultimately fulfilled, and Oedipus must live with the harsh reality of

If people knew what was going to happen in their futures, what
point would there be for living? To me, not knowing what is going to
happen tomorrow, is an incentive to keep living. It makes life interesting.

“The Need For Entertainment At The Woman’s Expense”

describes this particular scene through Mina’s journal. It begins with
Lucy sleepwalking and Mina eventually tracking her down only to see a tall
slender being hovering over Lucy as if almost kissing her. However, in the
movie Lucy is portrayed as a very flirtatious women who is very vulnerable
to men. There is also no record of Lucy ever sleepwalking. Instead, she
is lured out of her bed at night through Dracula’s voice. This particular
means of persuasion that Dracula uses, tells the viewer that he has
absolute power over the defenseless and vulnerable Lucy. Lucy .....

Macbeth: Occurrences That Led To Macbeth's Downfall

Is possibly the most important passage that leads to Lady Macbeth's death.
She calls on the evil spirits to "unsex" her, and to replace her "milk"
with "gall." It seems that she wants to be the most cruelest being in the
world. The theme of the life cycle is amplified in this situation because
of her request to the spirits. This event is the beginning of the end for
Lady Macbeth's life. She is the one who insists Macbeth should kill the

Who Is The Tragic Hero In Antigone?
.... noble quality is his caring for Antigone and Ismene when
thier father was persecuted. Those who stand behind Creon also argue that
Antigone never had a true epiphany, a key element in being a tragic hero.
Creon, on the other hand, realized his mistake when Teiresias made his
prophecy. He is forced to live, knowing that three people are dead
because of his ignorance, which is a punishment worse than death.
My opinion on this debate is that Antigone is the tragic hero.

.... when he asked for a raise. He was there when
the recent owner, Howard Wagner, was born. He lays a guilt trip on Howard,
talking about his father, and still Howard doesn't feel bad for him.
Willy has traveled around the world for his company and was loved by
everyone he met. He feels alone because everyone has forgotten him and
from the lack of attention, he wants to die.
Willy Loman was a man that craved attention and when he didn't get
it, he got into a bad car accident and died. Although he was a very
flustered man, he led a good life. He had a grave passion for his work,
his family and his life. He died because of neg .....

The Changing Role In Viola/Cesario In The Twelfth Night

peer. So, she grows to love him. But, Orsino's motivation is actually
not love for Viola, but rather he seems to be in love with love itself.
His entire world is filled with love but he knows that there might be a
turning point for him, like when he says:

This quote shows that he knows that he is so caught up in "love", that he
hopes his appetite for love may simmer when he takes more than he can

Pygmalion: Higgins' Philosophy
.... are two possible translations of Higgins' philosophy. It can
be viewed as treating everyone the same all of the time or treating
everyone equally at a particular time.
It is obvious that Higgins does not treat everyone equally all of
the time, as witnessed by his actions when he is in "one of his states" (as
Mrs. Higgins' parlor maid calls it). The Higgins that we see in Mrs.
Higgins' parlor is not the same Higgins we see at the parties. When in
"the state" Henry Higgins wanders aimlessly around the parlor, irrationally
moving from chair to chair, highly unlike the calm Professor Higgins we see
