Movie: Casper - Death And Growth Of Characters
.... is when Cat’s mom comes back for a short time to see Cat and Dr.
James, Cat’s father. The last is when Cat’s mom turns Casper back into a
boy so that he can dance with Cat at her party.
With all the death in the movie Cat has to come to realize the
reality of death and that it can happen to someone that she loves. Even
though they don’t show Cat’s mothers death in the movie it plays a big part
in the way that she acts and feels. She grew up a little with her mothers
death but not alot because she was still young. the second was when her
fathers dies and she has to find a way to get him back so that she is not
alone .....

Macbeth: Contrast Of Lady Macbeth And Macbeth

Orlando. Orlando is popular and strong, and smart. Oliver is unhappy and
therefore cruel. In a monologue that Oliver addresses to the audience he
says, "Yet he's gentle, never / schooled and yet learned, full of noble
device, of all / sorts enchantingly beloved, and indeed so much in / the
heart of the world, and especially of my own / people, who best know him,
that I am altogether/ misprized" (1.2.163-8). After reading this quote
about Orlando, it is clear that Oliver feels sorry for himself because he

student of military science. Iago only proves good at fighting, whereas

Movie Summary: “Dead Poets Society”

prove that one must conform with life. One must conform with life in some
ways, but still have their own independence.
One of Mr. Keating’s students, Neil Perry, thought about all he
taught them about independence. Neil decided to try out for the school play
against his father’s wishes. He got the lead part and forged a note of
permission from his father. He was exceptional in the play, so he thought
his father would be proud and approve of him acting. His father did not
approve and was very angry at Neil for disobeying him. Neil ended up

Death Of A Salesman - Willy's Escape

further. His refusal to accept reality is so strong that in his mind he is
transported back in time to relive one of the happier days of his life. It

anything he attempts. Indecision in a man, or woman, for that matter, is a
strong symbol of his/her lack of perception.

appear that he does not consider himself particularly strong or heroic. If
one doesn’t have confidence in his own self, how can any other person have

Movie - Dead Man Walking: Capital Punishment

At the beginning of the movie, Sister Jean feels completely
different than she does at the end of the movie. Early in the movie,
Sister feels somewhat afraid, and does not feel like she wants to help out
with his case. But after Sister agreed to have a private session with the
killer, she changes her mind, and agrees to help him out. Sister starts to
talk to the killer, and shes a different side of the killer that no one
else has seen. She sees a man of compassion, a man of care, and a man who

Romeo & Juliet: Friar Lawrence Is Short-Sighted

to Mantua." (Act 4, Scene 1), he tells Juliet how everything will be all
right. Unfortunately, for all his good intentions the play still ends in
tragedy.
Friar Lawrence is a man who is not afraid to take risks when he feels it
is neccesary to help someone. For example in Act 2, Scene 6, when he
marries Romeo and Juliet, he is risking his reputation as a Friar so he
can help the two lovers. Also, when he says "Take thou this vial, being
then in bed, and this distilled liquor drink though off;" (Act 4, Scene
1), he is suggesting that Juliet drink a potion so that she might feighn
her own death and avoid marry .....

Antigone: Who Is The Strongest Tragic Figure?

Antigone will not let her sister die. We can see Antigone has hubris but
her character is not developed enough to see her display of arrogance
steadily throughout the play as we can see in Creon.
With Creon, all the characteristics in being a tragic figure become
tied into one. First of all, Creon’s motive is he must rule and rebuild a
kingdom that was just a war between two brothers. After he has made the
decision to leave the body of Polynecies for the animals, he can not let
the people of the kingdom believe his mind can be swayed even by the
daughter of the late king, Oedipus-he must act as a stron .....
