boss snatches it up with his hands and reads it aloud. Fantine has a
daughter that lives with an innkeeper and his wife who are the only ones in
this whole play that give some comedy relief. They treat her daughter
horribly and when the boss finds out that she has a daughter he thinks of
her as a prostitute and kicks her out of the factory, which is in the town
in which the new honest Valjean is the mayor. To support her child Fantine
sells her chain and her locks of hair. Then later because she can't find
work becomes a prostitute.

The Crucible: John Proctor Had Common Sense
.... wife Elizabeth. Proctor had made certain to the judge that
Elizabeth could not and certainly would not lie. Sure enough, when
Elizabeth was questioned she ended up lying to try to save her husbands
reputation from being ruined, Meanwhile she had no idea what John had
previously stated and how this would bring on the deterioration of his
character. This is where irony took its part, with Elizabeth testifying
that John certainly is not a lecher but, "John previously admitted Abigail
was his eager whore." This twist gave a dramatic effect toward the play
and enhanced the mood.

The Supernatural In Hamlet And Macbeth

for Hamlet¹s later actions and provides insight into Hamlet¹s character.
The information the ghost reveals incites Hamlet into action against a

The Powerful Persuasion Of Plebeians
.... with an innocent eulogy, but instead incites his
audience into a riot, looking for Brutus's death and wrongfully killing
Cinna the Poet. He does this by appealing to their emotions. Bringing
Caesar's body for everyone to see made them see for themselves the reality
of Caesar's death. Pointing out the stab wounds that the conspirators
inflicted drove them further into anger. He also used a couple of sneaky
tactics to help his mission of revenge. First was the repetition of the
phrase “honorable men,” referring to the conspirators and Brutus. Then he
teased the audience with the will, saying “It is not meet you know how

The Crucible: John Proctor's Marriage
.... as well as
the loss of his good name by having his shame publicly known and validated.
Everything that could have been done was attempted by John in order to save
his wife from the false accusations, which she faced. He would have moved
heaven and earth if he could to prove her innocence.
All marriages have their downfalls, but it is love that makes the
cause worth fighting for. John and Elizabeth fought until the very end to
save what they had. Despite Abigail’s lies and false attempts, she could
never have what they shared, love. John loved his wife, not Abigail. He
clearly showed his true feelings for Elizabeth and paid .....

.... constant mourning after. One cant imagine how it must feel to lose the ones they love and hold dear but to stay afterwards and mourn the loss of the many is unbearable. Blanche has had a streak of horrible luck. Williams was an individual even though she was with her friends because she only thought about what she wanted.
