Then comes lovely Laura Wingfield the innocent hurt child even though she is grown. The only happiness she has is in her glass menagerie. She is very quiet and never voices her opinion. Laura is always making sure her mother is happy and not distressed. When she was younger she wore a brace on her leg so, throughout her life that made her very insecure.
The story takes place in a small apartment with Tom bringing home any income they have and, Laura is supposedly going to business school because in her mother’s eyes that is the only way Laura can succeed. In actuality Laura dropped out .....

The owl is a bird that typically symbolizes wisdom but in this case the mousing owl has killed a larger predator--a falcon. .... to have a greater impact on others lives and be held responsible for anything good that happens to someone. She has such an amazing amount of endurance that she emotionally supports the entire family. You are able to see that she will never give up on her dreams for Tom and Laura, and although she may be cruel showing this at times, she is always loving. She's the type of woman you would think fits into a perfect common mold, but you find out that she does not at all.
