Personal Writing: Getting My Driver's License
.... ready, I got my completion slip and left to
get my driver's license and a new computer (I was actually more eager to
get the computer that day). We go to the mall and all I had to do was take
an eye exam!! I was very surprised, I figured I would at least have to take
a written test over the material covered in the manual. I finally had the
one thing that would change my life forever. I suddenly felt more free and
mature. I felt mature because I could finally go out and do things on my
own and I was trusted to do so responsibly. I did not take that trust
lightly either. I knew that messing anything up while driving would ca .....

Personal Writing: My Grandmother
.... summer time my grandmother and whoever happened to be at the
house would sit out on the sundeck for hours and talk about anything and
everything imaginable; she was known as the neighborhood gossip queen. The
sundeck was a place for everyone to sit and relax in the warm sunny breeze.
My grandmother was a very spontaneous person, she did what she wanted to at
the drop of a hat and nobody ever stopped her. She was always very active
in many thing like Veterans Auxiliary, making crafts, cooking, cleaning,
etc., but always had time for the ones she loved.
Living at my grandmothers house was indeed alot of fun because she
was so eas .....

Creative Writing: Heroz
.... improve. How would
they take care of their families if everyone continued to leave Lamron and
there wouldn't be any use for the arrows?
Apparently, many of the local Lamronians were unhappy living in
Lamron and were moving away. They had found that other nearby towns did not
charge as much for the dragon killing service as Lamron did.
Meanwhile, back at Lamron Castle, the King was meeting with his
Duke of Accounting and Duke of Operations, and found that much of the gold
received for their services was running low.
They found that the costs of making the arrows was far exceeding
what they were charging .....

Creative Writing: How Plants (And Quite A Few Other Things) Came To Be
.... to where they are today. IT needed to find a way out. IT pushed it's
arms so hard on the walls of the cave trying to get out IT's arms broke
through. Then IT got stuck. IT couldn't pull IT's arms in, or push them out.
So IT did the only thing it could. IT started sucking energy out of the sun
(what else silly?). Not a lot. No one could notice, but IT just started
sucking.
IT's arms became plants. It was green, and that's why plants are
green. IT went to sleep and everyone forgot about IT. But now and then, IT
wakes up, and when IT does, WATCH OUT!! That's how earthquakes, and
volcanoes, and a lot of other things come from.

Following A Dream Toward Freedom
.... me
wonder about my freedoms. Why is it that I can go to my refrigerator whenever I
want and be able to get a nice, clean drink of water. When Meanwhile in some
foreign country some 10 year old kid, who has the same thirst as I do has to go
to a lake where the animals bathe to get a foul, disease infested drink.
Knowing about these peoples sufferings really makes me realize how important
and how special the freedoms that Americans posses are. I believe everyone
takes their freedoms for granted. We are by far granted the greatest freedoms in
the world. But we are far from perfect and unfortunately we have our own
struggles for fr .....

Creative Writing: Haunted Mansion
.... not see whom he was
talking to, but I don't think it was a person. The man was balding and
looked like he was in his upper forties. He was saying, "I am sorry for
coming into your house. I thought it was empty. Please! Please! Let me go.
I won't say anything; I didn't see you murder him. No! Don't! Ahhhhhhh!
Stop..." Then he fell to the floor after I heard a sickening crack. I raced
out of that room only to find myself in the hallway again. I decided it was
time for me to leave! I went quickly down stairs and went to the door I
came in at. I turned the handle and nothing happened. I was lock ed in!
For the next 3 hours I was tryin .....

Personal Writing: I Love Horror Novels
.... out of thin air. For
example, when I first began writing the first draft of this essay, I
started out writing about writing horror stories and ended up writing a
short story about a vampire in London. It is safe to say I get ideas out
of thin air.
When I do capture the intangible, I literally feel a rushing sensation
in my head! I feel like a kid on a roller coaster. I feel astonished,
excited, and hyper. Quite often my mother will stick her head into my
room because she wants to find out what I'm giggling about. I usually tell
her I'm thinking about a joke I heard on T.V. -- how can I tell my mother
I'm laughin .....

thing, but the salesman assured us that the entire project would be a
"turn key" installation. The salesman asked me if I wanted them to
deliver the materials. I declined his offer because I could do it myself
and save money. So, I waited for a nice clear day to go back to pick up
everything. I was using an open bed truck and it was a pretty sizable load
to carry such a long distance. Well, the worst rain storm in Florida
history developed over Green Cove Springs on the clear day I chose to pick
everything up. I was about halfway home and this terrible rain
storm ambushed me. I couldn't get away. I was surround .....

Personal Writing: Teacher On Trial For Teaching Religion In School
.... scripture, what did this man do wrong?
Would you say taking stories from a religious book teaching religion? I
wouldn't think so. I would see it as taking parts of stories and
criticizing about them. What did he criticize about the book? Was it the
holy scriptures? No, it was the technique of how it was written, the style
of writting that was used, and just that. There was nothing more to it, not
one drop of religion to it at all. It was just what any English teacher
would do, read some books and put them out for discussion. This has nothing
to do with teaching religion, but it was more like reading a book. That's
exactly what it .....

Personal Writing: Learning About Myself
.... would take a
long time, and we wanted to go shopping and head back to our cabin before
it got too late. I walked into the woods and soon I was beside a lake
totally enveloped in fog. I was facing a rock wall. The blue dots on the
wall indicated that the trail went straight up. Wonderful memories rushed
into my head from from other rock climbing adventures. I have always loved
the rush I get from heights. I love the feeling I get when I have
accomplished something that has challenged me, the feeling I get when I
know a wrong move could be dangerous. With these memories in my head I
began climbing, and before I knew I was wel .....

Personal Writing: Letter To The Future From 1996
.... was when a
lunatic broke into a school and gunned down a class of children and their
teacher. It was tragic. The shooting I do is just for sport and is well
supervised., this handgun ban could also bring a tightening on getting a
shotgun license so it would be harder to get one. I shoot what is called
Skeet mostly but I also shoot Compact Sporting. I go Clay Pigeon Shooting
every Saturday at West London Shooting Grounds in Ruislip.
I remember the first time I ever shot a shotgun, it was my uncles 12 bore
semi automatic and it very nearly knocked me off of my feet, I was only 10
years old. It shocked me so I didn't start sh .....
