The Clifford Ball
.... drove the van with
his brother and myself. Tim in his red Festiva with Joe and Sean, and Beau in
his blue Festiva with Alex. Stopping only to piss and re-fuel, we busted up to
Plattsburg, arriving around 6am. It was amazing to see all the VW Westvalias up
I-87 with Steal you Face, and dancing bear stickers. Once arriving, we picked a
spot to set camp (out of the Wetlands of course) We followed the lead of
crickets bouncing gently round room to a nice spot. Close to the potable water,
yet far enough from the rank smell of port-a-jons. Then we got some needed

.... in another band at the time. Fish taught himself how to play the drums by locking himself in his room and trying to copy the sound of bands such as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. When he moved to college, he started to move toward jazz and hardcore. Now, all they needed was a bass player. .... to name a few. Much of the music had no singing and the songs were very long and complicated, involving different parts and many complicated solos.
In between songs each musician performed solos on their instruments, which proved the talent, they held on their instruments even more. The bassist was the most impressive, though. He soloed for probably a half an hour doing things that seemed impossible. He slapped with amazing speed and precision, played the most difficult runs and slides and kept the entire audience in awe for the entire half an hour. In 1989, the Peoria Symphony Foundation was incorporated to provide long term financial security to the symphony. The foundation is a 501Ó3 non-profit corporation. Proceeds after expenses that don’t go to the endowment are added to the Symphony’s Operating income. The Guild donated over $15,000 to the Symphony last year.
