Baseball's New Rules
.... said it was OK. New York
went on to win the next game to advance to the World Series. The fans in New
York made the little boy a hero for a day and loved him for what he did but most
of the other baseball fans all over the country did not think it was fair to the
Orioles.
In conclusion I do not like the new rules of the game and hope the
commissioner of the league will change them for next year.

Bungee Jumping
.... of the Oxford
University's Dangerous Sports Club read about and designed a safe form of the
practice. Atop the Golden Gate Bridge, dressed in tuxedos and top hats, the
first form of bungee jumping came to existence. In 1987, bungee jumping moved
to the American commercial scene. Two brothers, John and Peter Kockelman, began
jumping from bridges over river gorges in the Sierras. Recognizing the sport's

Bungee jumping spread rapidly throughout the world, ever-growing in
popularity. Bungee jumping became national crazes in many areas. After the use

The Cherokee Indians
.... their main source of food,
along with wild plants and roots that were common to their homeland. They used
spears, traps, and fishing lines with hooks to catch many different kinds of
fish. They also used an interesting method of poisoning an area of water to kill
the fish and gather them up as they floated to the surface.
The Cherokees were also skilled hunters. They hunted large animals, such
as deer and bear, with bows and arrows. They covered themselves in entire
deerskins, antlers and all, and used deer calls to lure the animals to them.
They also hunted small game with blowguns that were accurate from up to 60 feet
away.

Christmas Is A Good Holiday For Many Reasons
.... Giving gifts always gives people that warm happy feeling
inside. The most enjoyable part is seeing the gifts that people gave being
opened by the people receiving them. That always puts a smile on peoples faces.
Last but not least, people get to spend time with family. Some of the
family may not have been seen in a long time so it puts everyone in a good mood
to finally see them. Being with family is fun and helps make the holidays more
enjoyable. One thing that many families may find interesting is sharing stories.
Telling stories always helps relieve the stress that the holidays can
produce.
As anyone can tell .....

Cigars
.... Careful and attentive raising is non existent. The leaves are
quickly dried and thrown into boxes for shipment to the rolling factory.
Fine cigars are hand rolled, whereas all cigarettes are machine rolled.
Including the type and quality of the leaf, rolling is the ultimate judge of
whether a cigar is good or bad. Cigar companies go to great pains to be sure
they hire only the best "Torcedores" (cigar rollers). If a cigar is
underfilled it will burn hot and harsh; if it is overfilled it is "Plugged" and
will not draw. To be sure that the cigars are of the best quality, one out of
ten is inspected (that's two out of eac .....

Existentialism In The Early 19th Century
.... for moral decisions. The 19th-century German philosopher Friedrich
Nietzsche further contended that the individual must decide which situations are
to count asmoral situations.
Subjectivity
All existentialists have followed Kierkegaard in stressing the importance of
passionate individual action in deciding questions of both morality and truth.
They have insisted, accordingly, that personal experience and acting on one's
own convictions are essential in arriving at the truth. Thus, the understanding
of a situation by someone involved in that situation is superior to that of a
detached, objective observer. This emphasis on t .....

Existentialism
.... In order for humanity to attain such a climax, everyone must imitate The
Almighty's perfect profile. Aristotle's basic philosophy deduces that humanity
strives for an identical peak of moral excellence, as judged by a higher being
(Aristotle).
Existentialism declares that the individual must choose his way; there
is no predetermination. Since the universe is meaningless and absurd, people
must set their own ethical standards. The universe does not predetermine moral
rules. Each person strives toward a unique moral perfection. The Nineteenth-
Century Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard, who was the first writer to call
himsel .....

Why Do Convenient Stores Have Locks On Their Doors If They Are Always Open?
.... customers of the day. This
situation would never happen at a store that is open all the time because there
always has to be someone working.
On a rare occasion, the store might need to the lock the doors if
someone outside is causing trouble. However, if they locked the doors and
wouldn't let any customers in they would be lying saying that they're open 24
hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Doing this would cause the
store to lose money because no one could then get into the store.
By adding locks onto the doors would also make people think that
sometimes they do close, like on holidays. On almost all national .....

Dining Establishments And Eating

not move for comfort, and the poor taste of interior design with small amounts
of decoration. These buildings were meant for eating quickly, and then leaving,
visual impact is not a major concern. There will be no waiters to take your
order. A line to the cash register is the only way to get your food, unless the
decision of the drive up window is made. Food is often times pre-prepared to
save time.
Casual dining has more enjoyable food, and a more refreshed environment,
with only a little more time involved. Some casual dining may include: TGIF .....

Accidents In Hockey
.... hockey season, 12% of those were shoulder related. Injury to the
acromio-clavicular joint was the most frequent because of the bodychecking.
Every time a player steps on the ice, he is constantly being pounded into
the boards, shoulder first. The glenohumeral was often being injuried
mainly from fighting and accidental contact. Hockey manufactures are
constantly trying to improve shoulder pads so this injury will not happen.
The knee followed closely behind the shoulder being injured 11% of
