Should The President Be Impeached?
.... The power of impeachment allows congress to remove the
president out of office. In this particular case if Bill Clinton is
convicted, he is thrown out of office, and Vice President Al Gore replaces
him as President. The U.S. constitution explains impeachment as the removal
from office for , and conviction of treason , or bribery , or other high
crimes and misdemeanors (Gerberg ,28 ). Impeachment protects the
citizens of the nations from a chief executive that is involved in criminal
activities . A committee in the House of Representatives brings forth
allegations towards the president in the form of articles . .....

The Presidency Of Dwight D. Eisenhower
.... for them the newly elected president was not opposed to the
programs Truman had began and improved upon. Over the course of his
administration Eisenhower often did not hold the same opinions as some of
the members of his party.
As the Chief Economic advisor to the President of the United States
there are many different issues which I must consider. These issues are
both large and small, foreign and domestic, and affect the upper, middle,
and lower classes. At this point in time there are several important
concerns which I have. The Korean War is ending and this is going to have
a profound affect on the economy .....

Marbury V. Madison
.... task of delivering these commissions. In the press of business
before Adams left office he delivered all but seventeen. Marshall left
these on his desk for the incoming Secretary, James Madison, to deliver.
Outraged by Adams' appointments, Jefferson ordered Madison not to deliver
the commissions. Four of the uncommissioned justices of the peace,
including William Marbury, sought a writ of mandamus, or order directing
Madison to deliver the commissions. Madison disregarded the preliminary
order by Marshall to deliver the commissions. Next, Congress, using its
authority under the Constitution to make "regulations" for the federa .....

The FAA
.... 1990 the FAA issued a rule that required airlines to install
fire-resistant cabins into new planes. The materials were also supposed to
be installed into the cabins of in-service planes that required a “
significant” amount of the cabin replaced. The FAA failed to define what a
substantial amount of the cabin was. The airlines also weren't required to
report the materials that were installed. This problem was not corrected
until 1991, after Pan Am flight 811 had an electrical fire in the cabin.
Three people received severe burns, while many others
inhaled smoke and poisonous gases. The amount of smoke and gases could
have be .....

The Environmental Protection Agency
.... Protection
Agency is unique among environmental regulatory agencies in that it deals
with both public health and resource management issues. Its comprehensive
authority is reflected in its position in the Executive Branch. It is the
only regulatory agency whose administrator reports directly to the
President. No single agency, however, can be understood in isolation. It
is constantly influencing, and being influenced by, the courts, interest
groups, the Congress, and other parts of Executive Branch.
Our story really begins with the great movement to the suburbs
after World WarII. Hoards of upwardly mobile white-collar worke .....

The First Amendment
.... a church organization. England was also an influence
on how we handled the press, since we were trying to break away from them
and be different and independent. England had pollicies wearies printers,
publishers, and writers could not print, publish, or basically write
anything unless it was inspected by the King or some higher power. America
thought this must be wrong and so allowed our papers and printers and
writers to do what they would within guidelines and reason. We weren't in
complete disagreement with all of England's freedom policies however. In
the Colonial Declaration of Rights of October 19, 1765, it stated "th .....

Gideon Vs Wainwright
.... which states, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges of citizens of the United States.” As a result, many
questions begin to arise which seek to determine the true right of the
accused to the assistance of counsel. Should legal counsel be provided by
the government if the accused lacks the funds to assemble a counsel for his
defense? Or, on the other hand, does this amendment set the responsibility
of assembling a defensive counsel on the accused even if he or she lacks
the funds to do so?
Also, do the states have the right to make their own legislation
regarding the right of the indigent acc .....

Political Parties During The Civil War
.... period that followed gave the
Republican Party a solid core of strength and permanence. Republicans
controlled most elective offices in the Northern states during the war, and
for a generation afterward they were able to make full use of patriotic
fervor to denounce the Democrats as traitors and friends of the South. This
was an effective campaign tactic. “Waving the bloody shirt” against the
South and the Democrats united all Republicans behind their memories of the
great crusade to save the Union.
The Democratic Party remained strong, however, and the Republicans
were also troubled by internal dissension. In t .....

The Vote To Breakup Quebec And Canada
.... elections, and
whose 53 members in the Ottawa parliament are second in number only to the
ruling liberals of Jean Chretien.
Already in June, Parizeau had retreated from his outright
separatist stance by agreeing with Bouchard, and with Mario Dumont, leader
of a small nationalist party, to couple a declaration of sovereignty with
an offer to negotiate with residual Canada a form of political and economic
partnership, similarly modeled on the European Union. By naming Bouchard
the chief negotiator of such a partnership during a year's grace period
after a YES victory, the Quebec premier yielded center stage to his far .....

The Need For Americans To Vote
.... the government were to give a $50 tax break to everyone who voted, I
think that many more people would show up to the polls, those who had too
much to do before would suddenly have a few minutes to spare. I also think
that all polling places should replace the “I voted” stickers, with an “I
voted” stamp on the right hand of everyone who votes. This would be a good
way to reduce the amount of people who vote more than once, which has been
used in the past as a reason for certain candidates winning elections.
Finally, I would like to state that voting is something that
effects everybody, from the smallest infant to a senior c .....

The Transition Of Power From President To President
.... the
hardships in Soviet Russia.
Truman was inaugurated on April 12, 1945 taking on the largest
burden of his life and he quoted to one reporter, “I felt like the moon,
the stars, and all the planets had fallen on me.” Among these weights was
the building pressure of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor where Truman had to
make the crucial decision to kill millions by dropping two atomic bombs on
Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Truman witnessed the signing of the United Nations
peace charter established to preserve peace.
After following Roosevelt's policies Truman decided to enact his
own policies of Social Security, a full-employment .....

The Canadian Government
.... year, but usually there's so much to do
they have to put in many months of work. Any MP can try to introduce a
bill, but the Cabinet usually controls the number of bills introduced. Most
bills come from the Cabinet, but the ideas can come from things like: A
senator, public servant, the media, party platform etc.
The PM chooses The Cabinet from fellow party members who have been
elected to the House of Commons. When choosing Cabinet members, the PM
must choose representatives of all regions and cultural groups of Canada
who together, represent and understand all of Canada. A Cabinet member is
usually made head of, and respo .....
