These men felt that the workers should be in direct control of production and distribution in the factories, banks and the industries that the Bolshevik party deemed necessary to organize. The Bolshevik leadership also felt the pain of the proletarian class and their struggle against the repression from the Tsarist regime. This in turn caused the Bolshevik party to end this repression, upon their victory, and halt all death penalties against military members that had committed crimes. The Bolshevik party also felt that the proletari .....

.... Ninety of the invader's were killed and twelve hundred captured. This failure was a big embarrassment to the Kennedy administration.
As of 1962 the Soviet Union was loosing a desperate arms race, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev conceived an idea of placing intermediate-range cruise missiles in Cuba. This deployment would double their strategic arsenal as well as act as a deterrent to a potential U.S. attack. Ever since the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, Fidel Castro was also looking for a way to prevent what he felt was an inevitable second attack. In the summer of 1962, the Soviet Union quickly worked to build its sec .....

The Hellenistic Age
.... and most of the remaining provinces of the old Persian Empire. This empire was ruled very loosely and its subject began to rebel against the policies of Seleucid. Third we have general Antigonid who ruled the Macedonia area. His empire was known as the Antigonid dynasty. His power was usually not very strong over the poleis. These huge political units now overshadowed the old city-states. The urban elite in these kingdoms spoke Koine (common) Greek, which became the new international language. The religion, art and literature were a cosmopolitan blend of Greek and native elements.
Many new cities were founded, most impo .....

Geographical Analysis Of Early Civilization
.... for the replenishment of the regions soil. Harsh deserts border Mesopotamia to the south and west, and perilous mountains separate her northern and eastern extremities from the outside world.
In order to survive the perils of their environment, the Mesopotamians devoted much time and effort to the taming their chaotic rivers. As a result they became skilled at the tasks of irrigation and agriculture. This was also necessitated by their inability to communicate and trade with any regularity beyond the natural mountain and desert barriers. The technical aspects of perfecting such procedures led to an advanced understanding mat .....

The Causes Of The French Revolution
.... the wealthest, they were exempt from taxes. They were also the only members in society who could hold positions of importance such as officers in the army, political leaders, and other high positions. This really made the Third Estate angry.
Also there was great need for taxation reform in France before the Revolution. The inefficiency of only taxing the third estate showed in the government’s budgets. The government was experiencing large debts and eventually went bankrupt because of over spending by the goverment including the king. This was made worse by the Nobles because they refused to pay taxes. The nobles were determi .....

Korean And Vietnam Wars
.... could not end in any kind of victory. As for the Vietnam War the public, for the majority of the war, was split into two groups, the hawks and doves. This was an even split. The hawks supported the war wanting American to commit with the full force possible and the doves wanted peace. The international reaction was also different. During the Korean War, the American troops would make up about 90 percent of the UN forces. Still the war was supported by nations which were a part of the UN but had no materialistic interests in that region. Vietnam War on the other hand was only supported by a handful of nations which had direc .....

The French Revolution
.... time was an absolute monarchy, meaning that the king had complete and utter control over the people of France. Since the Monarch (King) had complete control over everything in society (including the church, taxation, national justice system, and the military) the ruler had to be a strong man capable of running the government, but the ruler during the uproar of the revolution (Lewis XVI) was not capable by any means.
Another problem with the Old Regime was its division of estates. France had been divided into three estates or social classes since the Middle Ages. In these three estates the top two, the Clergy and the Nobles, .....

The Elizabethan Age
.... from the same scraps that the Theatre was built from by Peter Street. The Globe lasted from 1599 to 1613 when a fire destroyed it. Of this next playhouse, very little is known. It was located at Newington Butts and was probably owned by Phillip Henslowe. He was the greatest Elizabethan impresario. Henslowe also owned another playhouse. This one was called Rose. Performers of the Rose included Strange's men, Sussex's men, the Queens men, and the Admiral's men. The Rose was torn down in 1605 so the Admirals men moved from there to another playhouse called Fortune. It was the main rival of the Globe (in terms of money) .....

But they were jealoous of their privileged posistion. Altought they were not completely unwilling to contribute some additional taxes, they never understood how grave the economis crisis was. They say the crises as only some form of financial corruption that could be explained away by firing the king's finace ministers. The libiral ideas of the French Enlightenment had been absorbed by some of the clergy and the nobility but only by a very few. The upper classes in France .....
