Inventions And Their Importance
.... The majority of economic inventions collaborate with one another; a lot of things were invented to make other inventions work.
Another major reason people invent is to satisfy military needs. During war times engineers, scientists, and inventors are brought together and their only duty is to invent military weapons. The weapons that the scientists come up with have to be more powerful and destructive than the enemies, with both sides striving to be the best. War has its negative effects on the world, but it also leads to many useful and positive inventions, such as nuclear energy and radar.
Another major reason people invent .....

Are UFOs Real?
.... and main question that has been asked for many, many years is, "Are UFO's real?' This is simply one question that can not be answered with yes or no but only answered with opinion. My opinion as to whether or not UFO's are real would have to be no. There is simply no believable evidence that has convinced me that UFO's could even possibly be real.
To begin with lets examine just how UFO's and the big phenomenon came about. As we know man has traditionally been known to construct a myth if there is something he can not explain, and UFO's are one of them. The year that UFO's became so very popular was the year 1947. The .....

Pesticides
.... fifty percent without the use of pesticides on our crops. The FDA, EPA, and the Department of Agriculture try to ensure that the use of pesticides is necessary to the extent in which they actually are used by performing studies and proposing bills and laws to Congress. There is no dispute that pesticides are harmful. The purpose of pesticides is to kill certain fungi, plants, and even animals, so it seems only natural that they would have some effect on humans as well. An example of how these societies have helped to try and lessen the use of the more harmful pesticides is the Pesticide Food Safety Act of 1993. This bill is to .....

Can Intelligence Be Measured
.... day of the test and this certainly affects the outcome of the test. Well if you do badly on it you will just be thought of as stupid and it is not really you're own fault. Normal standardized test get predictable results around the academic standpoint of intelligence, but should not be held to tell weather the person is intelligent or not. The only real thing that the IQ test tests is reading comprehension, vocabulary, and spatial relations. The test should really be based on a variety of traits.
Standardized tests can also hurt a person's self esteem in some cases. If results are lower than expected, their expectations .....

Animal Uses
.... animal would be strapped down and the "product" would be dropped into the eyes. After irritation came pain, after pain came ulceration and bleeding, blindness would follow. Other tests would include "forcing hair dye or face powder into a dog or rat through a stomach tube until its internal organs rupture." It really makes no sense that people can still be for animal testing when one can look at a case like this and just simply wonder.
Animals not only have a brain, they have feelings too. Curtis uses an example at the beginning of her essay to point out the wrong doing in animal testing. She talks about a professor who we .....

Anthopleura Elegantissima
.... a few weeks before any of the experiments started. Only the most healthy anemones were used in the experiment. To free the anemones, Francis hit the bowl against a solid surface. To determine the sex of the anemones, they were severed and inspected for sex organs. When their sex organs are fully grown the female’s are brownish-pink and they male’s are yellowish-white. The anemones that contain one or more sex organs including oocytes or spermatocytes were recorded as having developed sex organs. The anemones were then placed in a drying oven for approximately 18 to 24 hours, so they could be dried to a constant weight.

The Beginning Of The Universe
.... cosmological principle. This principle says that the universe is the same everywhere on the large scale, at all times.2 It maintains the same average density of matter forever.
There are observational evidences found that can prove the Big Bang model is more reasonable than the Steady State model. First, the redshifts of distant galaxies. Redshift is a Doppler effect which states that if a galaxy is moving away, the spectral line of that galaxy observed will have a shift to the red end. The faster the galaxy moves, the more shift it has. If the galaxy is moving closer, the spectral line will show a blue shift. If the gal .....

The Problems With Acid Rain
.... become acid over night. It happens over a period of many years, some times decades. The changes are usually to gradual for them to be noticed early.
At the beginning of the 20th century most rivers/lakes like the river Tovdal in Norway had not yet begun to die. However by 1926 local inspectors were noticing that many of the lakes were beginning to show signs of death. Fish were found dead along the banks of many rivers. As the winters ice began to melt off more and more hundreds upon hundreds more dead fish (trout in particular) were being found. It was at this time that scientist began to search for the reason. As the sci .....

Genetic Cloning And Frankenstein
.... author life and the stark reality, which it encompasses. Mary prophetically illustrates some of the potential hazards of breaking through the barrier that separates man from God (Bloom 611). Her insight allows the reader to trace these repercussions through Victor Frankenstein, the monster, and eventually society. The character of Victor Frankenstein illustrates the path of destruction scientists can create when ignoring their moral community. “Individuals who possess good ambition for knowledge, glory, power, self-perfection, for service to domestic circle or to humanity, are vulnerable to their own delusions and instab .....

Research And Patterns Of Thinking
.... to do with the rest of your life in just a short time. I had the plans of working in the woods, so I talked with some friends who work with wildlife conservation and they told me parks and recreation was the way to go. After this strenuous research, I was very glad to get it over with.
Another time I used research was when I restored my car. When I bought the rusty seventy Chevelle convertible, I thought there was no hope for it. I had little experience with restoration of vehicles and figured it would take ages to finish. I decided to write to some places and talk to people to boost my knowledge on the subject. After lots .....
