Here comes the hard part; you have to relax. Relaxation is necessary for faster and more powerful punches. In your stance extend your arm, nice and slow, rotating your thumb down, and then return it to the ready position. Do not let your elbows fly outwards, keep them in. All punches should come from the body instead of the shoulder like most people do. It is very important, after shooting the lead jab to instantly return it to the ready position so you may use it again and also to have your hand there to protect your face from a counterpunch.
