Sexual Offenders
.... may have doctors on their side saying that the reasons for the crimes are a mental disorder.
The outcome to be reached is the need for stricter sanctions and clearly defined laws on sexual abuse. The sanctions should be clearer in the span of one year. The target is too start convicting all newer offenders under the new laws. The result is tougher penalties for the offenders under the new laws. More than fifty percent of the new offenders will be hit under this law. The new laws will be influenced greatly by the people who deal with the sexual offenders the most. Many levels of governments will be needed to make the new policies .....

The College Scandal
.... for money. They know that if their prospect makes it big, they will get a cut of the earnings. Marcus Camby is one of the many athletes to accept gifts from agents even though it is a complete violation of NCAA rules. Sports Illustrated staff writer Phil Taylor wrote an article entitled “Tangled Web” which is a story about Marcus Camby and his violation with the NCAA. “…John Loensbury, who estimated that he, gave Camby more than $40,000 in cash and gifts between December 1994 and March 1996” (67). Teen Homicide
.... What your child learns at a young age affects them as a teen or young adult. The only person you can blame much is to say it is yourself. What you teach your child, how much love and care you give it can affect them as adults and teens to a certain extend. The community you live also can affect your teen. Just in Saturdays, newspaper it talks about a liquor store catered to Bergen teens. What happens when the store does not give the teen liquor anymore? The teenager goes in the store to rob it and bang an accident happens, the whole incident goes in as a homicide. Who is to blame? Why did it have to happen? Many of the teenage .....

Put The Death Penalty To Death
.... to be blameless can be freed: but neither release nor compensation is possible for a corpse" (1). How can anyone be so inhumane that they, the jury, take someone else's life into their own hands to say whether or not they should die? There are people out there that take people's lives, but a jury should not decide the life of a human being. There is too much room for error in a death penalty trial. People fell sorry for someone who has been wrongfully robbed of a loved one. What if the person on trial was not the person who committed the crime? "According to the 1987 Stanford University survey, at least 23 Americans h .....

Illinois Vs. Nathan Leopold And Richard Loeb
.... songbird. Leopold agreed with Friedrich Nietzsche, and believed that legal obligations didn’t apply to those who approached “the superman.” Leopold’s idea of the superman was his friend and lover, Richard Loeb.
Leopold and Loeb’s relationship was described by Clarence Darrow as “weird and almost impossible.” With Leopold at one time contemplating killing Loeb over a perceived breached of confidentiality, it was very intense and stormy. Their “weird and impossible” relationship, led them to do together what they almost certainly would never have done apart: commit murder.
Murder was a necessary element in their plan .....

Robert Mapplethorpe And Obscenity Charges
.... condoms, and a depiction of Jesus Christ as a drug addict and sex object.
In 1990, after the NEA helped fund Robert Mapplethorpe's ''homoerotic'' photos and Andrew Serrano's crucifix in a jar of urine, Congress took action.
It passed a bill requiring the NEA to consider ''general standards of decency and respect for the diverse beliefs and values of the American public,'' as well as artistic excellence, in awarding grants.
Some NEA supporters objected, including Karen Finley - who had previously received a grant for smearing her naked body with chocolate, an act judged to be artistic excellence.
Finley filed a lawsuit .....

Gun Control Isn't About Guns Its About Control
.... enslave or eradicate them.
Many times an over zealous government takes actions that cannot be justified. A good example of this is the Ruby Ridge Incident, where a mans wife and son were killed over a minor firearm offense.
Some States have enacted their own laws. Florida has aloud its citizens to carry a concealed weapon. Since this law was enacted the murder rate has dropped by 29%. Over the same period of time the nationwide murder rate increased by 11%. This clearly shows that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens can prevent crime.
In contrast many of our countries major cities have banned all guns. I .....

Censorship In The United States
.... Bill of Rights. They edit radio broadcasts, place “black-bars” over televised images, and even try to refine works of literature so that they meet certain “standards.” As US citizens, we should be appalled that such practices are allowed. Not only are we deprived of rights, be we are denied wants. If I want to go home and turn on my TV to see a woman sans clothes and hear frequent vulgarities, then by all means I as a citizen of this free country should be allowed. The majority of us want to view things deemed “degenerate” or “depraved.” This is why a FOX broadcast of car crashes and animal attacks fetch the network its highest rat .....
