Veterinary Medicine
.... poultry farms. A few veterinarians are now becoming involved in
embryo transfer work, in which fertilized eggs are removed from
superior donors and transferred into the uterus of a cow of lesser
genetic qualities.
A minimum of six years of study after high school graduation
is usually required for a student to become a veterinarian. At least
two and sometimes up to four years of college are completed before
the acceptance into veterinary college. The competition is stiff for

each one admitted.
Demand is increasing for food inspection by veterinarians,

The Mind, Music, And Behavior
.... and neurophysiological effects of music on the human mind, then
the possibilities of this knowledge are unbounded. Music can be used to treat
social and behavioral problems in people with disabilities. The use of music in
the classroom might enhance or weaken a student's work characteristics.
Therefore, whether the influence of music is positive or negative, much needs to
be explored about the link between the mind and music.
Physiologically, the brain receives information about sound waves from the ear
through the auditory nerve. This information is then processed by the brain and
analyzed for the juxtaposition of mel .....

Are You A Shopaholic?
.... the world including Denmark. In Britain a nation
wide survey revealed that addicts will stop at nothing to found their desire to
spend money. They will do anything from stealing to prosti-tution. One out of
20 adults is found to be obsessed by spending. But why do people become sho-
paholics? I think when you are being a shopaholic you often don´t realise it or
won´t admit it. At one time or another though will you find out that you spend
too much money on things you don´t even need. Most people love spending money
this is one cause of shopaholism, another could be that shopping is used as
therapy to better ones mood and confide .....

Family Practice: Summary

dates them so often. This helps with everybody holding to their end of the deal
when it comes to the family issues. One of the worst steps of all is, "Stop the
"Good Guy-"Bad Guy, " routine. I feel that having someone to blame for every
problem that arises can devastate a child. Parents need to think about what they
are going to say before they say it. The last step is, "Get rid of old emotional
Baggage," I have personal experience in this category. I had a hard time in
letting go of the old when trying to start new.
These seven steps that Dr. Sugarman has came up with are great ideas in
dealing with Family problems. Paren .....

The Healing Process
.... a Theme by Virginia Satir says on Page 89
that "successful change-making turns out to involve struggle, necessitating
skill, tenacity and perspective". The struggle occurs when a foreign element
produces chaos until a new integration occurs which results in a new status quo.
Kurt Lewin echoed this view in saying that an old attitude has to unfreeze, the
person experiments, a new attitude develops and a refreezing occurs.
Janis and Prochasky suggest a person starts in relative complacency, is
presented with challenging information, the person evaluates the new challenge
to habit or policy and reviews alternate policies to create a .....

Medical Conditions Of Concentration Camps
.... by doctors for experiments and depending on the nature of the experiment
they might live for a long time or be killed imediatly.
Doctors picked which people should be killed through a selection process. A
person could be killed for having as little as a tiny scar, or because ofa
defect, or anything at all. The doctors of Block 10 are most remembered. The
two that stand out most are Josef Mengele and Ernst B. Josef Mengele as one of
the cruelest doctors who killed many, many people. He was said to be seen at
selections night and day. And in some cases even taking children to the gas

Adolescence
.... young people undergo a rapid
series of physiological changes, known as the adolescent growth spurt. These
hormonal changes include an acceleration in the body's growth rate; the
development of pubic hair; the appearance of axillary, or armpit, hair about
two years later. There are changes in the structure and functioning of the
reproductive organs; the mammary glands in girls; and development of the sweat
glands, which often leads to an outbreak of acne. In both sexes, these
physiological changes occur at different times. This period of change can prove
to be very stressful for a pre-teen. For during this stage of life a .....

Wolfgang Kohler's Experiment And Insight Learning

describe it. He noted that such insights are not learned gradually through
reinforced trials. They seemed to occur in a flash when the elements a problem
are set up appropriately.
In another experiment boxes were put in a room with a banana hanging
from the ceiling. The chimps found out that they could stack the boxes on top
of one another to reach the banana without being taught to do it.
It was also found that rats made cognitive maps, which are mental
representations or “pictures” of the elements in a learning situation, of the
mazes that they were going through. Not sur .....

AIDS:Is There A Cure? Are There Preventions?
.... to fetus inside her.(Madaras,188)
AIDS is a very rapidly-spreading disease although it is only spread four
ways. Ten years ago only two cases of AIDS were known. Nine years ago only seven
cases were known. In 1983 over 3,000 cases were recorded, and by 1989, there
were more than 100,000 cases. (Samuel,26)
Many people think you can get AIDS by what scientists call "casual
contact." Casual contact is by such means as swimming pools, kissing, toilet
seats, etc. "...it's important to remember that the AIDS virus doesn't live in
the air or on things we touch, the way cold or flu viruses do. (Madaras,186)
There have been no cases .....
