Prized Possessions
.... leather encompasses the cabin and provides the occupants with pure extravagance. The climate control keeps the occupants comfortable so that they might enjoy their surroundings. Power windows allow the inhabitants to enjoy the fresh breeze without having to do meager peasant work such as rolling the windows down manually. The stereo system is of the highest quality. It provides rich, deep bass that rattles your insides when the speakers hit. What makes this system so amazing is how it mixes the low bass with the high treble to produce a harmonious intonation. As an added bonus, the graphic equalizer allows me to customize .....

An Analysis Of Fukuyama’s “The End Of History”
.... of the inherent weakness of Marxist ideology and the supremacy of the economies associated with a liberal democracy.
Is Fukuyama correct? Is Liberal Democracy the final and most perfect stage in Hegel’s dialectic? Marx would have to disagree. First off, Marx would say that many people misinterpret his writings. This was the case in the formation of the communist system of government in China and Russia. He would say that communism should never have been implemented in China nor Russia. The reason being, Marx said that communism would rise out of a fully developed and capitalistic nation. When China and Russia were made .....

“The Legacy Of One.”
.... want to go. So he went, and stayed out for a long time. I told grandpa and grandma I was worried but they told me to settle down. I was so scared and my whole body ached. I told grandpa and grandma that I WAS sick. They said it was my hungriness. It wasn’t though, I hurt all over and it just kept getting worse and worse. Then within the time this had all began to happen all of the pain on my body was gone and there was a knocking at the door. I looked out the window and saw my Hercules sitting on a trailer with blood splurged across his body and nothing but bone for a leg. I screamed and was held back by everyone. Then I blacke .....

Antigone
.... grave mistake and to change his decision before it is too late because no men should conflict with the will of god’s. It is hard for creon to believe that there is any higher authority. Haemon, Creon’s son and Creaon’s advisor, Tiresias both fail to redeem Creon of his pride. Heamon fails to change his father’s mind for many different reasons.
Even before Haemon presented himself as weak and inferior to his father “ Far be it from me – I haven’t the shill, and certainly no desire, to tell you when, if ever, you make a slip in speech…. Though someone else might have a good suggestion.”(766-769) Haemon uses words like if, might, .....

.... where I am now in my life, striving to become this great mathematician, I can say I have done an enormous 360°.
Through my high school career there was one person that really inspired me and gave me this drive that has gotten me here in college today. Everyone else writing this paper is probably saying it was there favorite math teacher or a caring parent but mine was the non-obvious. It was my head football coach. He, Coach Whisman, coached me for four years. He illustrated to me that math can be essential in something other than a book or an equation. Besides being my football coach he was my high school math teach .....

Swift's "A Modest Proposal"
.... Swift had no intention of pursuing his proposal any further.
One of the other voices that is present throughout the entire story is that of sarcasm. In order to understand this further, a reader has to comprehend that Swift, becoming infamous after Gullivers Travels, was a member of the upper-class. Right from the first paragraph Swift attempts to fool his readers by the sarcasm of the dreary scene that Swift presents. For example, he mentions that it is a melancholy sight to see beggars and their children on the street. The sarcastic paradox in this statement is whether it is a melancholy object for him, having to see homele .....

Berkeley's Theory Of Immaterialism
.... substance did not exist is George Berkeley. In truth, it is the immaterialist position that seems the most logical when placed under close scrutiny.
The initial groundwork for Berkeley's position is the truism that the materialist is a skeptic. In the writing of his three dialogues, Berkeley develops two characters: Hylas (the materialist) and Philonous (Berkeley himself). Philonous draws upon one central supposition of the materialist to formulate his argument of skepticism against him; this idea is that one can never perceive the real essence of anything. In short, the materialist feels that the information r .....

My Childhood
.... Also, they taught me gender roles, the behavioral expectations associated with gender. This was done by giving me specific types of toys to play with, teaching me about other men in my family, and having me observe the roles of other men in my family. To teach me the difference between right and wrong, my parents used various types of punishment. A punishment is any painful or discomforting stimulus that reduces the frequency with which the behavior occurs. For example, I used to stay out past curfew frequently. To punish me, my parents would restrict me from going out with my friends.
It was these friends who provid .....

A Rose For Emily
.... lack of attention, the house has deteriorated from a beautiful estate, to an ugly uninviting shack.
Similarly, Miss Emily has also become an eyesore. For example, she is first described as a "fallen monument" to symbolize her former beauty and her later ugliness.
