Studying Humanities
.... prepare me for the
advanced placement Humanities course have been three years of English
honors, one year of United States history honors, and the present
enrollment of advanced placement United States history. These classes have
challenged me as a student to strive, achieve, and excel beyond my
expectations. More importantly, the instructors of the classes have placed
in me a better understanding of the world in which I live in and how it
came to be. Beyond the classroom, many life experiences have prepared me
for this course. In my seventh year of grade school I moved to Dallas,
Texas. This was one of the most difficult peri .....

Installing A Car Stereo System
.... wattage for the
SPL (sound pressure level) of the higher frequencies to be heard clear in a
space the size of the AEROSTAR.
Pre-amp Out RCA Jacks
To allow for low-level amplification without using an in-line power
reducer, the head unit will require low level pre-amplification output
jacks. Head units ordinarily come with either front and rear, or just rear
RCA jacks. This situation will only require rear jacks since the head unit
produces enough wattage sufficient for the front speakers. The sub-woofer
system will be powered by an additional external amplifier by using these
jacks.

Personal Writing: College
.... told me to think about other colleges and to think
about other things to do instead of college, but I knew that < > was
right for me. They often suggested that I go to community college for a
semester or two and make sure that I was doing something that I wanted to
do. I had attended the community college in my area during my last year
in high school to take some extra courses, and I truly detested the place.
I really did not want to go anywhere but < >.
So I petitioned for readmission to a new department at< >. I
decided that I should focus my studies on something other than engineering,
because it was much more than I .....

Definition Of Education
.... spend in order
to line the pockets of weapon manufactures.
If we thought for ourselves then we would realize that the peop[le
in power do not pay us enough or that they are doing underhanded illegal
transactions. If we thought for ourselves that would cut into their profit
and we all know that can not happen. The Savings and Loans Scandal is a
perfect example of this. Big business made a mistake and then instead of
dealing with it they pawned there massive losses on the American public.
Education is a farce, a cruel joke that the people in power attempt
to trick us into believing is the "be all and save all" .....

Effective Writing Is Important
.... The best sportswriters in the country are experts in using
voice. How else can one become involved in the action? Without voice, a
play by play description can become a tedious mass of words. Voice is a
logical facet of writing which, when properly executed, leads the path to
effective writing.
Effective structure is a necessity in essay writing. Without it, a
capable piece of writing can become a nebulous maze of imperfection.
Structure acts as a road map for the reader. When the reader can follow
the essay's structure, the essay as a whole becomes easier to comprehend.
The reader can follow the essay logically and therefor .....

.... makes it difficult for the audience to empathise with the
characters and their predicament. Thus, they could study the play's
social or political message and not the actual events being performed on
stage. This process is called Verfremdungseffekt, or the alienation effect,
where instead of identifying with the characters, the audience is reminded
that they are watching only a portrayal of reality. Several well-known
Brechtian plays include Drums in the Night, Edward 2, The Threepenny Opera,
Rise and Fall of the Town of Mahoganny, The Life of Galileo, The Good
Person of Szechwan, Triple-A Plowed Under, One-Third of .....

Exams Are Unfair Assessments Of Progress
.... sleep, so they can not do well in their exams.
Secondly, the exam results of the students are not reliable. Some
students cheat in the exams. For example, they just copy the answers from
their cheating papers to their answer sheets. Although their answers are
correct, they do not really know the answers. Also, some student guess what
questions might appear in the exams and only study that part of the course
material. They can get good results in their exams without studying hard if
they are lucky. Furthermore, many students get poor results in the exams
because they do not have enough time to finish the exam papers, but .....

Higher Education
.... where women were considered unnecessary of attaining knowledge.
In her time period, at the University of Oxbridge, Woolf witnessed how only
male students were taken seriously about education and even when a young
woman tried to enter the library alone she was taken for a ignoramus and
sent on her way. A civilization cannot further advance at any kind of
distance without researching its misjudgments in the past and correcting
them. Woolf's situation is a prime example in the controversy of teaching
the nation about former traditional values. If a person demonstrates that
something in the days of yore did not work, then we .....

High School/College Contrasts
.... Another minor difference was the appearance and attitude of the
teachers. In high school the teachers were always worried about
discipline and trying to keep the students from tearing up the classroom.
In college the teachers act like they could care less what you do, but
you know they really do care.!? That's probably because it's not their
money you are wasting when you go in there and just goof off. College
teachers will just tell you to leave if you are disturbing the rest of
the class. High school teachers would go through all the trouble of
writing up a referral and taking the delinquent down to the principal's

High School Vs. College
.... friends. No one will be there to tell the students
what they ought to do.
A second change a student will have to make when going to college
is learning to live with a roommate. While living at home, a student could
always escape from everything and be alone just by going to his bedroom.
In college, there will usually always be his roommate and three friends
sitting in the room. College forces students to share everything that they
may not have had to before with someone who may be a complete stranger.
The final part about college that is different from high school is
the amount of studying a student has to do. In high sch .....

High School Drop-outs: Cause And Effect
.... lack of fear instilled into them by
their parents. Many teens have little or no parental supervision. Coupled
with a lack of communication skills between parents and teens, the result
can be a lack of involvement with school.
There is an absence of effort put forth by many of today's students.
They seem quite lackadaisical and have no discipline when it comes to
their studies. Continual failure is often a prescription for tremendous
overload and stress. It tends to amount to the self-fulfilling prophecy
of dropping-out. Dropping-out is their only escape.
Dropping-out can be prevented. Selling teens on the benefits of
