National Income As An Indicator Of Standard Of Living
.... deals go unregistered. The second criticism
which is linked to this is that sales in the black economy will also go
unregistered even though they may have significant effects (both good and
bad) on a personŐs standard of living. For example, if drugs were being
sold on the black market this may lead to a rise in crime and so peopleŐs
standard of living would fall, however the person selling the drugs would
increase their income and so that may increase their standard of living.
National Income will rise if employment and output rise, but a rise in
these factors does not necessarily reflect a rise in the standard of living.

A higher standard of living results in a more comfortable life for European
citizens.
The recent predictions of a crash in the stock market could have disastrous
effects on the European economy. If there were to be even a slight dip in
the stock exchange .....

The Great Depression And The "New Deal"
.... operated to slowly in a serious recession, and the
federal government should step in and help stimulate the economy. This
theory became known as Keynesian Economics. In terms of the Great
Depression the economy was at a serious imbalance because the public sector
was saving more than usual and the business sector was not investing at a
typical level. Therefore the government needed to step on and stimulate
the economy. This stimulation was seen in the actions of the government in
the "New Deal." Slowly but surely the steps taken by the government pulled
the nation's economy out of the recession it faced for so many years.

Changes Taking Place In The 1800's
.... laws, the
strongest business will succeed and bring wealth into the whole country.
True the strongest business did bring in wealth to the country, but the
problem was, the working conditions. Some workers had to work in conditions
that most of us can never think of. Working in dark, damp and cold
buildings for 12-18 hours a day and some workers had to go on 24 hour
shifts once a week. Imagine working that long with out having a break, also
their was many disasters waiting to happen. Now just think, what would
happen if you got sick, or hurt on the job? The answer was easy you where
fired and some one else would take your job, and .....

Comparisons Of Classical And Keynesian Thought.
.... of the congress and the federal reserve) that were in place during
this time work? This is a Question that is still debated today.
The opposite approach is the Keynesian thought. This school of thought
would believe in a more active approach. That is the Federal Government and
the Federal Reserve should play an important role in attempting to
stabilize the economy by "fine-tuning", that is look for the problem, find
out what is wrong and fix it.
Probably the biggest test of not only our economy but also our
economists was the Great Depression. During this time it seamed that the
Classical approach was not working as .....

Screening For Drugs By Employers
.... In the United States Constitution, it is stated that no one shall
have their privacy invaded without a warrant issued by a law official.
Some argue that by being forced to take drug tests they are denied this
right. However, staying at a job that makes its employees take random drug
tests is completely voluntary.
Since the drug market didn't really erupt until the early nineteen
sixties, drug tests weren't used very oft until that time. With the
sixties came hippies and flower children, who used mind expanding drugs as
a means of coping with the stresses of the Vietnam War and everyday life.
Back then, drugs were very soci .....

Current Grading Systems Are Inadequate
.... A grade of
95 in most cases is equal to the letter grade of an A. When a student
receives a number grade of 70 then they have gotten credit for 70% of the
work. This 70% works out to a C, which is customarily known as
satisfactory. This satisfactory grade of a 70 means that on a test the
student has basically absorbed only 70% of what should have been. This 70%
means that a full 30% of what should have been learned has not been. By
calling this 70% satisfactory, it is basically saying that it is alright
for the student to not learn everything that is taught in the class. By
giving students the ability to absorb only 70% of a .....

However, she does have one. She always wanted a family. It was something
