The agent I discovered was an antidote to HIV-the virus that causes AIDS. It was called DAA- Dessy AIDS Antidote and blocked the reproduction of HIV in human cells. Thus it was the most effective drug ever synthesized. It would defeat the scourge of 20th century- AIDS. DAA would stop the unwanted deaths of thousands of people around the globe. It would eliminate fear of donating blood, having operations and visiting a dentist. No more would babies whose parents are HIV- positive die. No more would HIV- infected people be .....

The Hurt Of Others
.... Later I had found Fred had buried himself with crime, getting into a lot of trouble.
One day I saw Fred sitting on a bench by himself. I approached him with an uneasy walk..... " Fred..," I said.
" Colin!" he exclaimed. We talked for about half an hour, forgetting I had to be in class. After I talked to him I felt a sigh of relief. I have not spoken to Fred since that day on the bench as he is living somewhere else now. I still have a feeling of friendship towards Fred, as he was the first friend I made when I first moved here.

Of All People, I Survived
.... but strong enough to hold on for another winter or so. The ceilings were cracked and wet from the rain during winter, which then leaked through into our house. My siblings and I shared a room together. Rebecca slept beside me, and Zareh slept on a separate bed. My parents slept on a king size bed, which they were thankful for. It provided them rest and relaxation after a long day of work. There was no water system, no sewers or electricity, no central heating or any of the comforts of technology which the Western world takes for granted.

My Friend T.W.
.... has always been and still is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. This is the type of kid who made A’s in every class and couldn’t wait to get home and do his homework. (The one area we differ in.) As for his character, I again have met very few people in this lifetime that values this trait as much my friend. His dad and my dad were both in the Marines and shared a lot of the same values. His dad just had a different way of handing his down. To illustrate my point I recall a moment after a football game. Finding A Job

I applied at many different businesses and got no response. However I just kept on applying anywhere I could find that would let me. My neighbor from across the street, came to my door one day and asked if I needed a job. She said that she was transferring to another department and could probably get me on at Quality Motors. I didn't care what kind of job it was as long as it paid more than minimum wage. I started at quality as a detail helper; before six months were up, I was assistant manager of the detail shop. My Dad's Influence On Me
.... the fog had greatly thickened. Before leaving for work my dad reminded me to ask my mom to take me to school. I thought, “I’ve been driving for a few months, I can handle it.” So I proceeded to drive to school. The fog was so thick that I could not see more than a few feet ahead of me. .... others. At least our dinner table talk was never boring! It certainly would not be tonight. Because I was determined that this would be the night that I would tell my grandfather that I wanted to be a professional dancer.

The Lesson
.... to be as rich and wealthy (in grain) as the king. This, now rich farmer, bought a very precious ruby and to the king to deliver as a gift as a gift of gratitude.
When my father told me this, it was one of those special times in my life, To learn from a man of experience, whom no better to learn from than one’s father. That day I learned that buisness is trickey, but can be done with precision control when hard work is put into it. He also taught me when to show thanks.

Volunteering For A School Of Handicapped Children
.... and people like her. During my Junior and Senior years of school I took a class (with much prodding from Lori) which involved going into the special education classroom and helping these kids. Not only did I help teach book lessons but also how to react and interact with other people. To tell the truth these kids taught me more about myself and the people around me more than anyone else ever could. Now that I have given a brief history of why I chose The Spectrum Center I will now tell what the Spectrum Center does.
My job basically is to just be a friend to these kids, and let them know that there are people in this worl .....

My Battle
.... to keep my focus and maintain a positive outlook that is sometimes difficult in the life of a teenager. I determine my performance by my attitude. No one ever gets anywhere by being negative. I also make sure that I involve myself with people and an environment that will help me, instead of bring me down.
