Personal Writing: Boot Camp
.... of about five hundred dollars all
together. That money is for the uniforms, bus ride, reserved tickets for
the bunks, and money needed when on the base.
After that the worn out bus load was escorted to a room with other
cadets from other cities. All together there was about four hundred kids
from all over Michigan going to this camp. Every camper was assigned to a
special squad. I was assigned to division six. When I arrived at my
barrack with the rest of the division I was assigned a bed. All of the
recruiters were told to stand perfectly still in front of our beds until
our drill instructor got therer. After stan .....

Personal Writing: The Game
.... not to let this game slip out of his fingers. Led by
Todd the Tigers had been to the finals three years in a row and had lost
every time. Now that he was a senior it was Todd's last chance at
redemption.
Exchanging baskets the teams battled it out for the lead and at the
end of the first quarter the score was 21-18, in favor of the Tigers.
“Good quarter,” said coach Zoulek “Keep it up guys.”
Sweating and gasping for air the team was fired up and ready to
kick some butt. To start off the second quarter the Cougars drained a trey
from downtown and tied up the game. Todd quickly pushed the ball up court
and dished it off t .....

Creative Writing: The Dream
.... boat keys and
went to their boat. His dad let him drive it all the time, so he figured
it would be a breeze.
He got on the boat and sat down to rest for a little while. He
shut his eyes and fell asleep. Within minutes he was driving the boat. He
drove for about 15 minutes and then stopped and started fishing. He pulled
up his line once the water began to get choppy in the area he was in. He
started to move again, and the water was getting even worse. He went to
the boat's communication system and called the dock to ask for a weather
report.
The man on the dock that answered the call seemed terrified. He
said in a surpris .....

Personal Writing: Taking Some Time Off To Watch Nature
.... of food.
All the animals where getting ready for the cold winter that is ahead of us.
Across in the neighbor's backyard were birds eating from a bird feeder. I
heard birds chirping then over top the birds I heard geese for off in the
woods by the lake.
I was lucky didn't get bitten by any bugs or flies, I guess it was
because the wind was blowing. I could smell the brewery; the wind carried
it over. The smell was so strong; it smelled like I was standing right
next to it.
I think people could learn a lot if they went out and took time to
sit in the woods. They wouldn't even have to sit in the woods just as long
as they .....

Personal Writing: Welcome To Maysville
.... is a great place to work out at. With a pool,
running track, weight room, gym, and a daycare for the kids this a definite
place to workout at.
This town has been a home to me for seven years and I have found
the town to have a nice community. Every town as its problems, but this
town has accomplished these problems responsibly and quickly. I shall say
the move to this town was well worth it and I hope you will come to feel
the same way.

Creative Writing: Downfall
.... rickety old
sign at the border of our town which read Melas. As I came nearer to the
chapel I expected the tormenting sensation in my head to diminish. Alas,
it did not. The truth is that the throbbing increased to what I can only
describe as a cranial vibration. This timbre was not painful, however, nor
uncomfortable, but pleasant.
Up ahead loomed the ancient chapel. It had been abandoned for
nearly a century and some invisible force kept the decrepit mortar and pale
stones in their places. But before I was close enough to glimpse the
building itself, I saw the glow. An eerie crimson light radiated from the
three small wi .....

Creative Writing: One More Basket
.... in, all the girls started whispering. Jenny didn't have any doubt
what it was about. All the girls started doing lay-ups and before Jenny
knew it, practice was over. Jenny went to practice after practice and soon
found that she wasn't that bad.
"Okay Pirates," coach announced. "Tomorrow is our first game. Come
over after practice and get your uniform. Remember girls, play hard, have
fun and it's the little things that count."
"Wow," Jenny said to herself. "Our first game is tomorrow."

The Ghost Of Peter Quint
.... ghost appeared. This time
the ghost of Miss Jessel, the former governess, appeared in the garden to
both the governess and the little girl (Flora). The strange part of the
situation was that the little girl refused to let the governess know that
she had seen the figure and knew who it was.
The governess learned from the housekeeper that the two ghosts had
been lovers while alive. For what evil purpose these two spirits wished to
influence the seemingly innocent children, neither the housekeeper or the
governess could guess. The secrecy of the children about seeing the ghosts
made the two women mad. They both felt that th .....

Okonkwo's Exile
.... I had never seen him this upset before. We then helped him pack his
yams, and stored them in my barn. I was to sell these yams while Okonkwo
served his exile. When we finished, he and his family left for Mbanta, his
motherland. As he was leaving, we waved good-bye, but he was too upset to
respond.
The next day a pack of men, including I went over to Okonkwo's
compound. There we set his huts on fire, demolished his red walls, and
destroyed his barns along with his animals. I hated every second of this,
but I had to do it, because if I hadn't, the Earth goddess would have been
tremendously upset with me. And she would have t .....

Personal Writing: Myself And Tennis
.... A few others my age are there as well. I am not the only one that
some people call crazy. After an hour of drills, sprints, running, and
laughing everyone races back to their cars to try to get home and then get
to school on time. We all have hands like ice sickles, are hungry as a
horse, have feet like ice, and our noses look like Rudolf. I rush home

some how manage to plop down in my first period seat just as the tardy bell
rings. I have somehow learned to like the crack of the dawn bone chilling
morning practices and sometimes for some unknown re .....

Creative Writing: Stanley
.... he
entered the doors of Holiday Lanes Family Recreation Center.
Once inside, Stanley immediately asked the small, sheepish figure
behind the shoe rental counter where Kyle was, and was given the response
"Dunno." Dunno, What an asshole, Stanley thought to himself. Giving up
all hope on the worthless shoe rental man, Stanley decided to go to the
manager's office, hoping to see his new boss and therefore finding Kyle.
Again, his presumptions were wrong. The manager's door was locked and a
note attached to it: Gone fishing...You'll never find me. Stanley found
this particularly annoying, but was determined to get somewhere. He .....
