These interpretations, though complicated and seemingly apparent, do not portray the atmosphere of the parable as adequately as I felt after I read it over and over again. Perhaps in the Parable’s simplicity I could be able to interpret something a little more simple and relative to the human viewpoint. Mrs.Van Daan is Mr. Van Daan's wife. She is over protective, and one-sided over him, while everyone is against him. She takes care of oneself and her husband without regard for others, even her own son.

The Importance Of Learning Your Heritage

Jandale should have been delighted to have the opportunity to visit China and get to know her roots and her family. The theme to this story was effectively treated in that the reader could see the reunion of the sisters, but yet could feel pain and sorrow inside of themselves.
Having the story take place in China, helped it to become more realistic for the reader. The reader can feel as Jandale traces her Chinese roots and becomes in touch with her heritage and her past. It is also possible for the reader to place themselves in the same .....
