Savage Inequalities By Jonathan Kozol
.... reach the same quality of education. Most of these poor communities spend their limited tax money on other costs those wealthy communities do not, at least not on the same scale. Such expenditures include the police and fire department and public health. Federal and state governments dispense funds to the poor communities in order to try and balance this financial gap. The funds aren't enough to make the necessary changes. Because of this children are subjected to attend inadequate learning facilities. While on one hand wealthy children are given the luxury of smaller classrooms consisting of about 15 or 20 children and an a .....

Once And Future King Essay
.... because he was the King's illegitimate child. It is evident that characters in the novel were constantly working against Arthur, although he was always trying to be fair and just to everyone. However, Arthur was not alone as the object for others' revenge. Lancelot was hated intensely by Agravaine, who had gone to tell Arthur of his treason with the Queen. Lancelot is warned by Gareth, " 'They hate you. They won't try a combat this time, not after Meliagrance. They are too cunning. They will do something to trap you. They will go behind your back' " (p.562).
The love between Arthur and Guenever, Lancelot and Guenever, and t .....

Critic On Huckleberry Finn
.... perfectly good reading book for young people. It is exciting, adventurous, and realistic. Most of the N- words are used by Huck and as you see of their relationship together, you know that Huck does not mean it in a bad way. Since this word was used and passed around for quite some time, Huck must have picked it up from someone and is using it sort of as a slang for African Americans. They are messing with one of the greatest and most famous writers around. I don't think this book is very prejudice at all. . . it is just very expressionable.

Invisible Man
.... and how some white people though of black people as entertainment, and were not actually people but where just animals. 4. I believe that the narrator was unnamed for two reasons. One being that most of the novel was a flash back to things that had happened and he was explaining about himself, and we didn't need to know his name since we knew so much about him. Secondly because of the title of the book Invisible being mysterious, and to follow that the author decided not to tell the readers the narrators name to follow the mystery of the title.
The Brotherhood was an organization of people who believed in total unity .....

Character Willie Stark In Jack Burden's Novel
.... profitably.
Another of Willie Stark's primary characteristics is his ability to hold a crowd spellbound, to move them emotionally as he wishes them to be moved. He does just the right things in the drugstore in Mason City in order to make sure that the crowd's allegiance to him is reinforced. When he makes a speech in the Town Square a little later, he makes sure of two things: that he has this crowd spellbound by his oratory and that his speech makes good copy (or sound bite) for the newspapermen who have accompanied him on this trip.
Although his ability to hold and emotionally capture a crowd seems to be an innate abil .....

Kitty Freemont
.... in politics. I am certain that the British have their reasons. I don't wish to take sides" (Kitty Freemont,pg51)
Kitty is confused, and most likely doesn't understand anything at this point, so she decides to go along with the stupidity of the British. The first slight change that we see in Kitty's outlook is the discovery of Karen Hanson-Clement. Kitty was pleasantly surprised by the laughter that seemed to be around whenever Karen was near the children. Kitty was immediately hit with Karen's love and sense of caring. The loss of a daughter had been too much for Kitty, and seeing Karen seemed to soothe this loss. Was this a bad .....
