Legalization Of Drugs

Education is the key to battling drug abuse, but that is a different topic. Nullifying the drug trade is the best way to start combating drug related crime, like domestic violence and murder. The Fatal Addiction

Substance Abuse Increasing In Inner-City Minorities

courts give out stiffer sentences for crack offenders than powder cocaine
offenders 7. According to federal law if a person is caught with five grams of
crack they get a mandatory five year sentence 8. To get a five year sentence
for trafficking powder cocaine a person would have to be caught with 500 grams 9.

Is Drug Testing The Answer?
.... drugs have different
effects on the mind and body. The reason for the effect is the same no matter
what drug is used. This reason is to escape reality.
Addiction follows this escape from reality. Once addiction comes into
play, it is no longer a matter of escaping. People addicted to drugs, such as
cocaine, need the drug in order to function. Without the drug they fiend for,
basic human functions cannot even be performed. Imagine not even being able to
get out of bed and use the restroom without injecting heroin. Monetary costs to
