Other countries ask us for loans to help build their economy. An example is that Russia needs some money to build a capitalist instead of a communist economy.
Japan and China ask for trade treaties so we can help them with their economic problems (a Japanese bank went bankrupt and needs our support to help rebuild the city).
Most regions in the world have been experiencing financial problems for several months (Russia, Korea, Japan, Mexico, etc.) and the U.S. economy held strong.

British Rule Of The American Colonies

The Boston Tea Party
.... to support the British Army. The Stamp Act caused much controversy amongst the colonists and the Stamp Act congress of 1765 said the colonists could not be taxed without their consent. American Prohibition In The 1920s

The U.S. Entering World War II

Nixon Vs. Kennedy Election 1960
.... F. Kennedy in the 1952 Massachusetts senatorial election. John F. Kennedy, was a Democrat from the south. He came from a very wealthy family and in 1952 became a Massachusetts Senator. Kennedy was young, good looking and inexperienced compared to the Vice President. His father was mayor of Boston and that helped show the capabilities of a Kennedy in power.
