.... for the National Anthem, because at times in the battle he could not see the American flag through the mist, and drizzle, even though the night was lit by ‘the bombs bursting in air.’ In the morning to his relief, Key saw that the American flag was still flying above Fort McHenry. He took out a letter that he had in his pocket to write down the ideas that came to him that night. David Walker’s Appeal
.... from the structure of the government to his economic process. It basically draws the reader in and enthralls him/her into a admiration for this man. This man, for the historians who wrote the textbook, was to be looked at as one of the founding fathers of the country for the great things that he accomplished, not for his unbridled hatred and cruelty to the African American race.
