niches.
The population of South Korea (1995 estimate) is about 45,182,000 people.

The Essential Nile
.... Encouraged by the stability of their farming,
the Egyptians were able to develop surpluses in the area. This abundance (which
allowed for the evolution and advancement of culture because it encouraged more
people to specialize in crafts other than farming) led to a division of labor,
and then to social stratification. The improvement of agricultural methods also
led to the enlargement of cities. This enlargement then led to the need for
bureaucracy and administration, and eventually toward the advent of writing.
Writing, a "very important" aspect of daily life, was a pre-condition for a more
formal government.

Old Madison Square Garden: Fond Recollections Of A True Landmark
.... all the different lifestyles can live together in harmony, for the most part,
and make New York the greatest city in the world. When the wrecking ball took
down Old Madison Square Garden in 1925, people from not just the city, but from
all over New York came to pay their last respects to a place that had more
meaning than sport (Jackson 68). It represented the hopes and drems of thousands
as well as the stability of the community. As people hace come and gone for 35
years the Garden was always there. As it fell so did the era, so did the dreams.
To move the Garden out of its original home to a new and improved location may

Chicago: A City Of The Senses
.... The
different facial expressions, personalities, and wardrobes present added
sparkle to the otherwise dull and uninteresting dimension of public
transportation.
While watching these different characters, I was drawn to the highest
floor of the Sears Tower, where lights illuminated the sky and blended artfully
into a pattern of lines. When I walked in the street, lights from stores and
nightclubs permeated above and around me, making me feel as if I were at the
bottom of a pit of existence, looking up at all the activity. This visual
vertigo lasted until I ended at an elevated train stop, with proudly addressed

mature height of five feet and one-half inch had given me a golden key to the
doors of some of the biggest thrill rides the world will ever know. I was now
seeing Disneyland in a totally different way. I ran from ride to ride, my level

and tossed like never before; for a twelve year old boy I was as close to heaven
as a kid could ever dream to reach.
As my senior year of baseball arrived, our hard work fund raising was
about to be paid off. We had been planning a trip to California for about a
year, and on our last day before we came home .....

The Town Of El Dorado Springs
.... characteristic reticence and secretiveness, they did not reveal this fact
to the white man. They held the secret in their hearts as they gave ground and
moved westward from the surging horde of white immigrants . . . " (1). To my
mind, this sounded like a fallacy; how did they know the Indians knew if they
never told anyone? Could I find out if the Indians considered the water
medicinal? Could I prove this statement false? Farther on in the book, I came
to the section titled "For Whites Only." "From the town's founding[,] no negros
have ever lived here." This in itself, to me, was phenomenal, but the last
sentence was what m .....

seaboard of his state was largely under Athenian control or in the hands of
the Chalcidian league, grouped about Olynthus.
Philip (382-36), brother of the dead king, was made regent for the

Once power was his, the young monarch swiftly brought order to his
domain by armed force when necessary, by diplomatic guile whenever he could,
Philip set out to make Macedon the greatest power in the Greek world.
Alexander was born in 356 to the first wife of Philip. As a teenager
Alexander was educated by Athenian philosopher Aristotle. By the year 337
