College Life
.... are just a few of the many questions that run through my mind as I plan for college life. All of these are small hurdles; compared to the biggest question of all, what career path do you want to take? My answer, I don’t know. This makes college life my most important race of all. The next for years in college will help me discover and determine how I plan the rest of my life. I don’t just plan on learning, but also expanding my sense of what the real world is like. I have the rest of my life to choose the right career, but I have these next four years to teach me how to survive in order to obtain complete and total success .....

The Teaching Of Women’s Studies
.... teachers are faced with barriers that are not so easily overturned. It seems to me that she is upset with the lack of commitment to such an important field of knowledge. As she states, “All that is needed is a commitment and a shared reading list.”(Pg. 478) The problem also seems to get away from itself due to the fact that this area does not belong in only one department. The history should be filtered throughout many different arenas, avenues, and paths. Each can come up with its own way of passing the knowledge on in such a way that it becomes prudent in the teachings of everything else that it surrounds.

Teaching Ethical And Moral Values
.... would agree that there is a great deal of cultural and religious diversity among the educational system. In order to teach good ethical values the teacher must be non-ethnocentric in the way he/she presents their values. For example, it will be troublesome for a teacher that has been raised in the United States and comes from a Christian background to teach their values to someone who came from India with an Islamic background, without being ethnocentric. School Prayer

(Haas35) Therefore, having a prayer in school would be unconstitutional. “A radical school prayer amendment would attack the heart and soul of the bill of rights which safeguards the rights of the individual from tyranny of the individual.” (Jasper96) Teachers are public employees, paid by the taxpayers. The time it takes to recite a prayer is an expenditure of tax dollars. (Haas36 ) This is a violation of the separation of church and state. Homeschooling

Leave The Students A Loan?
.... in the global marketplace. It is possible for the government to look at funding for post-secondary education as an investment. Providing post-secondary education for more Canadians will create a more successful population. This, in turn, will create a more successful economy, which will result in Canada being a successful country.
Another positive result of post-secondary education funding is that is would reduce, if not even eliminate, the large debts accumulated by university and college students. Many graduates start out their careers heavy in debt to student loans. This is a handicap that prevents many graduates from .....

The Values Of An Educated Person
.... Theresa’s education was her teachings. She was wise, her character helped many, and she sacrificed her life for others. The ways Mother Theresa sacrificed her life was by not getting married and giving up almost everything to help the poor. Her humbleness and generosity in taking care of others speaks out for her education. With all she has done she never had arrogance or was spoiled by herself. Alienation In Schools
.... Researchers are often divided themselves on this issue. While some have found that students with LD should interact with other students, other believe they need more attention and should be separated.
Another form of alienation found in schools, is the honor roll system. Students who have a high GPA are often commended for their outstanding performance. At my high school, their names were read over the loud speaker and published in the newspaper. The principle even takes the time to sign the report cards of those with honors. ESL Students At GSU
.... Currently, students do not get credits for ESL classes or EAP program. They are required to take these courses; therefore, they deserve credit for what they take. Since it is necessary to have certain amount of credit hours to graduate, students should at least get credit hours for the courses even though it is not towards their degree. The Importance Of Reading In Educational Development
.... reading. By concentrating on the first grade, tutors would help pave the way for a good reader, communicator and pave the way for child to develop a sense of ambivalence about them.
Because reading plays such an important part of our literacy, educators need to provide more workshops for teachers and or parents to guide them on the basic ways to assist the students in developing better reading skills. Programs such reading clubs should be established in schools and communities to help children develop as good readers and communicators. What Went Wrong With America's Schools?
.... of present day schools. They taught
with fewer books and less equipment, and did not have any of todays audio-visual
material and equipment. Then, between 1965 and 1980, real dollar expenditures
per student doubled as teacher to student ratio dropped by one forth. Yet, with
more money and fewer students per class, student achievement deteriorated in
every available measure. In 15 years, national SAT scores declined by 5 points
annually. That 75 point drop has put the US behind greatly, and has left todays
students with a lot of ground to make up in order to reach other countries test
score levels.
