Effects Of Working Shifts
.... to human error, and third, they all took place on the night shift.
Working shifts, an unsteady schedule, can present many different problems for the men and women who work them. This report is going to highlight some of these problems, and hopefully offer some possible solutions to minimize them. I am also going to examine some European countries, because they seem to be far ahead of the U.S. in recognizing and dealing with the problems associated with shift work.
Examined will be safety, physical, and production problems facing both employers and employees. I myself have worked shifts for the last ten years, so hopefully .....

The Internet And Its Affect On The Economy
.... economy reach full employment, meaning that the cyclic unemployment is approaching zero. Although it seems the industry is very secure because it is in a full employment situation now, this does not mean that there is a very low amount of unemployment. According to many economists, there are three types of unemployment: frictional, structural, and cyclical. Frictional unemployment occurs when the rate of people changing jobs is high. The second kind of unemployment occurs when the increasingly different and unique demands of the industry cannot be satisfied by one person alone, and thus another must be hired to take his place. Cyc .....

Bonds And The Bond Market
....
There are many reasons why people invest in bonds. For example, if one chooses a stable and profitable bond, it will provide a steady source of income through interest payments during the lifetime of the bond. As well, the risk when investing in a bond is considerably less than for most other forms of investment. The bond does not, for instance, experience the volatility of a stock on the stock market, like many other forms of investment do. Also, in instances where the issuer fails to pay the principal amount back to the bond holder, legal recourse is available. Furthermore, in cases of bankruptcy within large cor .....

The Growth Of Gross Domestic Product
.... ballooned to 6.1% of the GDP.
The rate of inflation, measured by the Whole Sale Price Index, decreased from 10.4% in 1994-95 to 5.0% in 1995-96 and has been hovering around this figure till date. Consistent with this, broad money M-3 targeted to grow by 15% to 15.5% during 1997-98, shot up to 17% in the same year.
The balance of payments situation in 1997-98 remained sound. The current account deficit fell to about 1.0 % of GDP in 1996-97, reflecting mainly the slow down in industrial growth and investment and growth of net invisibles. In 1997-98, the current account deficit is expected to be about 1.5 % of the GDP, which i .....

.... had 100 scoop shops in Indiana, Illinois and California. It also had 4 shops in Canada, 3 in Russia, and 10 in Israel. By the mid-1994 Ben & Jerry’s lead the market in luxury/gourmet or super-premium ice-cream segment, surpassing Haagen-Dazs.
Critical issues
Many critical issues occurred around Ben & Jerry’s. Some threating the organization and some provides opportunities. In 1994 the government mandated nutritional labels to appear on food products causing label-reading consumers to switch to low-fat or nonfat ice cream and frozen yogurt products. Which resulted in a fall off of sales on high fat, high-calorie prod .....

Postal Service As A Monopoly
.... Even with this added revenue the Postal Service was still greatly under funded on its own (United States, Intro.). During this time it was discussed to privatize the postal service and introduce competition because of the extreme losses that the service was experiencing. A positive argument for privatizing the Postal Service was with numerous competitors in the market there would be more efficiency and the public would receive lower prices. But this would also increase the usage of resources, for example airplanes and cars.
One of the problems the Post Office had was its receipts from consumer purchases that were submitted th .....

The Trade Practise Act
.... the product, and when the buyer receives the product, it does not match the description.
- “ A promise where the seller is made aware of the purpose for which the goods are required, that the goods will be reasonably fit for that purpose”
This condition is implied when the buyer makes the purpose of the goods needed known to the seller, and the buyer then relies on the seller’s judgement in providing the correct product. For example it would not be reasonable if you made the seller aware that you wished to purchase something suitable for mowing the average suburban backyard and you were sold a tractor.
