Jim has Huck cut the snake's head off, then skinned it, and roast a piece of the dead snake. They tie the rattles around Jim's wrist .....

.... Cora's, he just simply stated the events as he viewed them. Previously Anse Bundren said "We be beholden to no man ...never yet been, " page 19. However, Tull says "Like most folks around here I done holp him so much already I can't quit now," page 32. So from Tull the fact that Anse is total dependant on others is revealed.
Also, during one of Cora's narrations she makes a key observation about the relationship between Addie, and her two sons, Darl and Jewel. Cora says that Addie was always partial to Jewel, "but that it was between her and Darl that the understanding and the true love was." page 23. This is significant .....

Of Mice And Men: Loneliness
.... have got each other but he hasn't got anyone. Curley's wife portrays the same message but under different circumstances. There are really no other main characters besides George and Lennie. From reading the novel and watching the film it is clearly evident in most cases that all of the support characters appear to be lonely. Therefore lonliness is quite a strong and influential theme in the story but it only features as a bakground theme and is not always present at critical stages.

He meets them and learn what it is like to live in the fringes. When the sealant woman rescues David, Rosalind and Petra they are brought to a big, developed city like the one in David's dreams. Because of the telepathy David discovers that such a city really exists but most of all through Petra they establish contact with a more civilized people than they are. Because of the conflicts in the story it leads the main characters to discover the sealant city.

.... by many people and so called friends. But when he dies there are only 2 or 3 people at his funeral. It is ironic because all these people showed up at his parties but no one would come to pay respects when he died.
The last example about irony is about studying. It would be ironic if you stayed up all night studying for a test and them slept through it the next morning. You stayed up all night not allowing yourself any sleep. It is ironic because you stayed up so you would do well on the test and then because you stayed up and didn’t get any sleep yet slept through the test.

.... ever though they were an all-white jury, they still treated each other with disrespect. If one wanted to discuss something the other didn’t want to because that one was so stubborn to change his vote. He stood alone. He didn’t want to change his vote for a thing he always thought he knew everything. In the 1997 version, the black men were the problem. He was just like the man that didn’t want to change his vote. He thought he knew everything, but he didn’t. Finally, one man told him to sit down and shut up. Towards the end he was really quiet until the jury asked him what his vote was going to be.

Types Of Monsters
.... it can even be caused by a fight with friends or family that causes them to leash out on the people around them. Basically, a real life monster is someone who, for any unjustified reason, goes and commits a serious wrong against any number of people. These are the people that pose a serious threat to society. Although both types of monsters are very different from each other, they both share the fact that they are defined as a monster by their looks and by their intentions.
