.... when it comes to Newman's points of views, is that; people don't get to learn what they want, there are not enough opportunities for jobs if everyone learned the same subjects, and the fact that we have to learn all the subjects that we might not even use in life. There should be specific people doing and studying specific things so we all don't have to learn and do it. In my opinion, I believe that part of Newman's theory is correct but the other half is not correct. We should have our own decisions on what we want to learn, but it's also not a bad idea to be more educated in other fields. His theory surprised me at first but .....

.... He seemed to have a fairly close relationship with all of them, except Percy of course. When they were planning to take John Coffey to help the wardens wife, he cared enough about Dean and the fact he had children to let him stay back at E Block so he would hopefully not get in as much trouble if they got caught.
Although it was his job to talk to the supposed convicts as they awaited their deaths, he cared when he talked to them, and especially when he talked to John. He went and sat with them and made them feel good, like when he let Delacroix know that Mr. Jingles would be okay and they would send him to Mouseville to live .....

.... These convictions which Holden holds waver very momentarily during only one particular scene in the book. The scene is that with Mr. Antolini. After Mr. Antolini patted Holden on the head while he was sleeping, Holden jumped up and ran out thinking that Mr. Antolini was a pervert as well. This is the only time during the novel where Holden thinks twice about considering someone as a pervert. After reviewing Mr. Antolini, Holden finally concludes that maybe he wasn't making a "flitty" pass at him. Maybe he just like patting guys heads as they sleep. This is really the only time in the novel where Holden actually considers .....

But then again, did she have the know-how to do this, after all those years of her father’s past actions? .... from the legend, this is a novel that lets the reader use his or her imagination and wonder in far off places. This book “remains an enchanted sea for the reader to swim about in delighting at the random beauties of fifteenth-century prose.”
The fact that this is a myth allows the reader to be prepared for some strange occurrences.
