The Life Of Anne Frank
.... 1942
"All college students are being asked to sign an official statement to the
effect that they 'sympathize with the Germans and approve of the New Order."
Eighty percent have decided to obay the dictates of their conscience, but the
penalty will be severe. Any student refusing to sign will be sent to a German
labor camp."--May 18, 1943
Here is were the story begins ...
On June 12, 1942, Anne Frank's parents gave her a small red-and-white plaid

diary, which she named "Kitty."
Less than a month after receiving her diary, on July 6, 1942, Anne and her .....

Abraham Lincoln
.... venture in shopkeeping
that ended when his partner died. In 1833 he was appointed postmaster but had to
supplement his income with surveying and various other jobs. At the same time he
began to study law. That he gradually paid off his and his deceased partner's
debts firmly established his reputation for honesty. The story of his romance
with Ann Rutledge, a local young woman whom he knew briefly before her untimely
death, is unsubstantiated.
Illinois Politician and Lawyer
Defeated in 1832 in a race for the state legislature, Lincoln was elected on the
Whig ticket two years later and served in the lower house from 1834 to .....

Quarter Paper: Antonio Vivaldi And The Music Of His Time
.... pointless. On the contrary, Baroque
music is far from being absurd or pointless. The word "baroque" is
derived from that or from the word "barrochio" that is an Italian word
used since the middle ages to indicate shifty or tricky procedures.
Wherever it's beginnings, the word "baroque" had been used since the 18th
century to indicate paintings, poems, architecture, literature, and all
else that is dynamic, dramatic, and to some eyes, astonishing and
incredibly even ugly. This really comes to a surprise to me because I've
listened to baroque music like Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach
and none of the music struck me as b .....

The Work Of Poet And Philosoher Archibald Lampman
.... yet in
his darkest moments we get the main topic of this essay "The City of The End of
Things". Like most great poets, Lampmans moods and feelings had a direct effect
on the nature and topic of his poetry. Lampman chief poetry was done after a
great joy in his life, or a great sadness. Sadly, Archibald was not a rich man
and lived not a happy life, and most of his poetry reflects that. "The City of
The End of Things" was written in a time of great sadness and hate for the world.
Published one year after his death many people fail to realize the direct
connection to themselves in the poem.
Lampmans poetry was divided into .....

O.J. Simpson: Guilty
.... that the evidence had been planted.
On June 30th, Allen Wattenberg, a knife store owner, testified during
the preliminary hearing that O.J. bought a 14-inch Stiletto knife from his store.
On June 12, O.J.'s limo driver arrived to drive O.J. to the airport and saw a
black man, with the same build as O.J. sprinting across the lawn towards O.J.'s
house. Yet when O.J. answered the door, he said he'd been napping(Biema, 56).
O.J. also acted guilty: he wrote a suicide note, and led police on a
chase through L.A. that ended at his Brentwood mansion with his surrender and
arrest.
Despite all this evidence, the jury found O.J. no .....

Paul Laurence Dunbar
.... major accomplishments of Paul Laurence Dunbar's life during 1872 to
1938 labeled him as an American poet. Dunbar had two poetic identities. He was
first a Victorian poet writing in a comparatively formal style of literary
English. Dunbar's other identity was that of the dialect poet, writing lighter,
usually humorous or sentimental work not merely in the Negro dialect but in
other varieties as well: Irish, once in German, but very frequently in the
hoosier dialect of Indiana. There is good reason to assert, however, that the
sources of Dunbar's dialect verse were in the real language of the people. The
basic charge of this .....

Authors: M. Rowlandson, J. Edwards, T. Jefferson, W. Irving, And J. Cooper
.... one at that.
Jefferson helped bring into exhistance the Declaration of Independence.
He also bought a huge amount of land from Napolean, known as the Lousiana
Purchase for 15 Million dollars, what a deal! Napolean definately needed money
to finance his little war, tsk tsk.
A real thinker in the enlightenment also.
Washington Irving, named after George Washington was a famous writer who very
possibly invented the short story. Irving created such characters as Ichabod
Crane and Rip Van Winkle.

Bill Clinton And His Many Problems
.... his
credibility and the polls a big push down. One of his promises was his health
program, the purpose of this was to give people with not so many money a chance
to get treated at a hospital. In US you are supposed to pay hospital-bills
yourself. It is something like our public health insurance where the government
pays for the ho¬ spitals. In US it is a problem that the poor can not afford the
medicine and therefore they sometimes do not get any. This healthprogram was
unfortunately voted down by the republican majority in the Congress
The US government has also an extreme materialistic way of getting people in
work and thereby h .....

Biography Of Ogden Nash
.... Also in 1931, he published two books of free verse:
"Hard Lines" and "Free Wheeling." Contemporary American Poets made an
interesting statement on these first two books by Nash: "These two books show
poetry of remarkable freedom of scansion (rhythm pattern) and uncoventional
feelings of thoughts." Contemporary American Poets showed clearly that Nash
"paved" the way for authors of free verse with absolutely no pattern.
After working on other poetry books such as Happy Days (1933), The Bad
Parent's Garden of Verse (1936), and I'm a Stranger Here Myself (1938), Nash
retired from his job at Doubleday to focus all of his time .....

The Life And Death Of 2Pac
.... will likely wind up as a made-
for-television drama. Rather, it is the dramatic finale of the life of
rapper/actor Tupac Amaru Shakur, who was shot four times during this escapade
while traveling from a Mike Tyson fight to a nearby club on September 7th. He
later died of the wounds, after six days of intensive care and several
unsuccessful operations.
Tupac Amaru, or 2Pac, as he spelled it --distinguishing him from the
violent Peruvian terrorist group of the same name-- was one of today's most
popular "gangsta rappers." His lyrics are usually vulgar, offensive, and
explicit, and glorify the type of life that he and many othe .....
