important bronze works were 'David', the first large-scale, free-standing
nude statue of the Renaissance; 'Gattamelata' in Padua, the first bronze
equestrian, or man-mounted-on-horse, statue to commemorate a non-ruler and
the model for all subsequent equestrian monuments; and twin bronze pulpits
for the Medici church of San Lorenzo in Florence, just before his death
there on Dec. 13, 1466. In the late 1440s Donatello also executed a complex
high altar for Padua's church of San Antonio containing seven life-size

The Comparison And Contrasting Of The Masters Of Fredrick Douglass

him to his brother Hugh Auld. Keep in mind Lucretia could be Douglass’s

spare time. This went on for a while, but her husband soon declined this
privilege from happening for the rest of his time with the Auld’s. Hugh

Albert Einstein
.... of physical science, because Einstein
contributed three papers to Annalen der Physik (Annals of Physics), a
German scientific periodical. Each of them became the basis of a new
branch of physics.
In one of the papers, Einstein suggested that light could be
thought of as a stream of tiny particles. This idea forms an important
part of the quantum theory. In 1900, the German physicist Max K. E. L.
Planck had proposed that the radiation of light occurred in packets of
energy, called quanta. Einstein extended this idea by arguing that light
itself consisted of quanta, which were later called photons.

influential in getting Darwin the position of naturalist on the boat The

Richard Nixon
.... high point for Nixon,
where he and the Russian leader discussed issues in a kitchen. With
Eisenhower, he served two terms. Nixon's next goal was to become the
President of the United States.
In 1960, John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon ran for the presidency. As it
turned out, Kennedy and Johnson won by a mere 120,000 votes. It was
believed Kennedy had bought Texas and Illinois. Johnson soon became
president after Kennedy's assassination. Now, Nixon would try again. Nixon
beat Hubert Humphrey with some political strategy. He told the citizens of
the US he would stop the war in Vietnam and make it better. In the long
run he only mad .....

Franklin Delano Roosevelt
.... Harvard would pave the way for the future of Franklin Delano
Roosevelt.
It was 1932, when Roosevelt, would acquire the renowned title of
President of the United States by winning the election. It was sort of a
platform for his campaign, as he said in Chicago Stadium, “I pledge you, I
pledge myself, to a new deal for the American people....This is more than a
political campaign’ it is a call to arms. Give me your help, not to win
votes alone, but to win in this crusade to restore America to it’s
greatness.” (Freedman, p.82) As soon as Roosevelt was sworn in it seemed
as though he was already making changes. In 1933 Roosevelt i .....

Writings Of Maya Angelou
.... When she was growing up, she suffered from
people being racist toward her. For example, when she was younger her
grandmother took her to a white dentist that refused to put his hands in a
black persons mouth (Arensberg 118). Occasions like such convinced her
that she had to take the pain and move on. Much of Maya Angelou’s writing
stresses the themes of courage, self-acceptance, and realization of one’s
life (“Maya” 18).
One night while having dinner with Jules Fieffer, he convinced her
that the story of her life was worth telling. She then had the courage to
sit down and write I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (Rosenfield 36). .....

Julius Caesar And His Accomplishments
.... and accomplished many things that no other person has ever
come close to.
Julius Caesar could be described as one of the greatest men in the
history of the world. Caesar was always interested in public affairs, and
tried always to gain favor of the people. He won favor because he spent
much money to provide recreation for the people. Caesar was a very caring
individual. The people liked him so much because he knew exactly what they
wanted and he gave it to them. He cared so much for the people that his
efforts for recreation caused him to fall heavily into debt. Most all

Sean Gagnon
.... he was smaller than everybody else. Then in turn
he was the one that had gotten in the end. But by looking at Gagnon (gon-
yoe) he is definately all grown up. The skinny kid who once stood 180 cm
as a junior in high school is now a 189 cm, 96 kg monster with a very mean
steak. He just happens to play ice hockey for a living. Only this time,
he is the one beating everyone up. Gagnon has led the IHL with a
staggering 457 penalty minutes, the third highest in the IHL history and
the most in all of professional hockey, including the junior leagues. He
could have had a lot more. Yet he had missed some games because of

Ben Franklin’s Involvement In The Age Of Reason
.... just how can I improve this or invent
something better.
Another reflection of the Age of Reason that involved Ben Franklin
was him being so pragmatic. His practical personality put restrictions on
what he was able to do, although he still managed to do pretty much what he
wanted to do. The pragmatic Ben went out and worked to earn a living. He
did not just sit around and let someone do the work for him, he went out
and took action. That action showed when he started inventing and doing
things for his country. He signed some of the most important documents
that have ever been written. All of this shows that he was practical, .....
