Terrorism is defined in Webster's New World Dictionary as, "to use force or threats to intimidate, etc., especially as a political policy." Intimidate is similarly defined as, "to make afraid, as with threats." Threats is a common word used in both definitions and when people are threatened, they feel terror therefore they are terrorized.
