His Childhood Years: Albert Einstein was born March 14, 1879, in the small town of Ulm, in Southern Germany. His parents, Hermann and Pauline, were Jewish. His father was an electrician whom also was interested in electrical inventions. However he was very unsuccessful in his business, and as soon as Albert was born, the family moved to Munich.
