Film and Book Review of I Know What You Did Last Summer The book I read was I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan. The movie I watched was directed by Jim Gillespie and was based (rather loosely) on this book. After reading the book and then watching the movie I noticed many differences and very few similarities. I would have to say that the book is better than the movie. In most comparisons between novel and movie, the novel is almost always better.
