In the play Death of a Salesman, a character that doesn’t stand out very much in the play actually has much to offer to the plot - Linda. Linda attempted to perform a good job as a wife and mother, but subconsciously influenced the tragic ending of the play.
Linda can be blamed for Willy’s tragic ending. At the very beginning of the book we see that Willy, originally on his way to Boston, returns home because he was unable to concentrate on the road.
