Civil Disobedience Reaction Civil Disobedience brings up opinions and questions one should ask themselves about government. One should determine whether or not they agree with Henry David Thoreau’s beliefs. Personally, I do not agree. Government is needed to keep our country in line. An argument could be used against me because of the time period in which Civil Disobedience was written, there was a different government, but time doesn’t change a lot of the laws.
